The Wauchope RSL Club History
The Wauchope RSL Club was formed in 1953 when a small building was erected on the current site. Beer was purchased from Port Macquarie RSL and the Star Hotel. It was 1955 before the club received it's first liquor licence.
Initially, to be a member of the club, you had to be a returned serviceman. By 1955 the club boasted 90 members. In 1956, 30 civilian members were allowed to join and the RSL Club Limited became a separate entity to the RSL Sub-Branch.
